Caroline Fernandez

Caroline Fernandez is a writer, singer-songwriter, reporter, and actress. In her poetry and nonfiction she explores themes of identity, body, diaspora, memory, myth, and intimacy. Having spent many years onstage and in front of and behind the camera, her writing also examines media gaze, representation, and technology.

Caroline was awarded for her poetry by Writer’s Digest and nominated for the Allegra Johnson Writing Prize. She also has more than a decade of experience in copywriting, news writing, and brand building, with a degree in journalism and a minor in theatre from Concordia University, in Montreal. She is completing an MFA in writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and is currently working on a poetry chapbook and linked collection of nonfiction essays.
